I delivered the trailer full of brownies to Carlisle. Nothing too bad has happened, yet. Except that I am trapped in a Panera parking lot in East York.
I felt very lucky last night when I found the place with minimal help from the night dispatcher. She laughed when I asked her for the location of a Panera Bread Company. I asked her why she was laughing. She said that she didn't understand why anyone would go to a place called a "bread company." I said that they had good coffee, sandwiches, bagels, soups, and--most importantly to me--wifi. She still didn't get it. As the conversation progressed, I found out that she has been married over half of her life, has children, and doesn't know where many places are--other than the Wal-Mart and Sam's Club.
There's a parable in there somewhere.
So anyway, I found a Panera, checked and answered email and slept. When I awoke, I found a sea of cars surrounding my truck. At least I don't have a trailer. Still, it will take some fierce work and determination to get out of here without causing an incident.
