I was involved in a car accident last night. I was northbound on Alpine Road traveling though the Newburg Road intersection when a 19 year-old devil cut across my path. I didn't even have time to curse! It was screeching brakes and the pop of the air bags. Those things smell funny. I didn't get any buzz off of it though.
The little shit had been southbound on Alpine and was turning East onto Newburg. He just cleared the car that was next to me, but I hit him square about the passenger side rear tire. It spun his ass out, I tell you what.
My paid for 1995 Lumina is now too expensive to repair, so this morning I drove my semi (no trailer) to a Broadway buy-here-pay-here-five-and-drive and negotiated my way into a 1998 Chrysler Town and Country Minivan. Now I can haul shit. Oh! And the carpet isn't stained by 50 or 60 travel mug topples. They were a product of my commuting days. I hardly ever get cut off in Rockford—except for last night of course. That was a bad one.
