They say that famous people die in groups of three. I don't know why it is. Maybe it's because of the compact they make with the Devil to achieve their fame. That being said, this week gave us a supremely weird group, James Brown, Gerald Ford, and Saddam Hussein. In honor of this weirdness, I posted an appropriate musical selection on my profile.
It's 22 Going on 23 by experimental psych punks, Butthole Surfers. This selection has one of those ponderous, heavy beats that put you in a trance, and some astoundingly lovely guitar lines. For those of you who have more conventional tastes, please give it a chance, at least until the "soap opera" part kicks in. You may be surprised at how wonderful weird can be.
